After the “The Man Your Man Could Smell Like” for Old Spice (and all the videos spun off from it) this is the best viral campaign ever. It’s so entertaining that after a while you almost forgot what was the ad for… wait… oh, yes - it’s for the Tipp-Ex correction tape.

Kudos to the French ad agency Buzzman.

Talk about being dangerous without a weapon. In this video, that is obviously a commercial for this Samsung Camcorder H205, the Master of Business Card Throwing is also showcasing his mad skills.

With such skills this modern day ninja seems to be doing fine without the black robe and shurikens.

Airports should probably update their black lists. With this gut on a plane, no one is safe. Imagine him sitting next to some business guy packed with business cards.

Football World Cup starts on July 11, 2010 and footbal frenzy (and soccer too) is growing every day. Internet can only help in spreading this frenzy even faster. For example, check out this guy.

If this video is to be believed, one needs to admit that this guy has good control of his right foot.

Cannot tell for sure if all these shots have been faked. Anyway, the video ends up with a comment: Wanted for drafting in a national team and putting him on central striker position and penalty kicker of the national team.

It’s a pity you’re not allowed to change players like you do in hockey, for example. ;-)

Marketing and typography frequently go hand in hand… at least when some level of graphical design is involved. Typography has found its natural setting in graphical design (where people like David Carson made it into art). With the evolution of typography, media and narrowing attention span of consumers, it is getting a more prominent role in video ads as well. However, rarely do we see typography used not as a tool but as the marketing vehicle itself (pun intended).

Until now…

As a part of the marketing campaign for the new Toyota iQ, the have contracted two Belgian graphic designers Pierre & Damien of PleaseLetMeDesign and the American artist/programmer Zachary Lieberman to create a new font using Toyota iQ.

Street Hero - Amazing bus jump

An attempt at launching a viral campaign for the latest HTC smartphone running Google Android - HTC Hero. This video is supposedly created by a parkour group Street Heroes whose MySpace page is a couple of days old.

To get the full point of this viral ad, make sure to watch the related video where you can see the entire commercial from point-of-view recorded with headcam, i.e. HTC Hero strapped to guys head. :-)

Now this is one daring commercial for finance consulting firm Bontrust Finance that was made by creative team Grabarz & Partner Werbeagentur GmbH from Hamburg. Congrats to fine people at GPW!

I’m sure this will go viral.

This animation has been done in Softimage XSI and it features Abraham Lincoln, Queen Elisabeth II and Mao Zedong. Clearly, the creative team had to learn quite a bit about origami which they did.

With this type of direct marketing it has never been so easy and effective to attract people with a dire need of exercise.



It gets me thinking… advertising is as versatile as design and possibilities in design are endless. Likewise, it can be as fun and fulfilling to the consumer. So when you see a boring or serious ad, ask yourself “Why so serious?” and just forget it. ;-) There’s so many fun ads, products in the world to enjoy. Ads turn our attention to a fraction of bazillion of products out there. One of them can become something we truly enjoy. A good ad is just a good beginning of an engaging relation with the customer.
