Android Dev Phone 1
The first official smart phone running Google Android mobile platform can now be purchased directly from Google and without a contract with a mobile operator like T-Mobile. This mobile is the same mobile that is branded as T-Mobile G1 only this one is called Android Dev Phone 1.
The price is $399, the same as when purchasing it from T-Mobile without a contract. The main differences are that:
- you need to spew out additional $25 to Google in order to
- you can now purchase an Android mobile device outside United States, i.e. in the following markets: UK, Germany, Japan, India, Canada, France, Taiwan, Spain, Australia, Singapore, Switzerland, Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, Finland, Poland, and Hungary,
- and that it has a different graphics on the background.
