After the “The Man Your Man Could Smell Like” for Old Spice (and all the videos spun off from it) this is the best viral campaign ever. It’s so entertaining that after a while you almost forgot what was the ad for… wait… oh, yes - it’s for the Tipp-Ex correction tape.

Kudos to the French ad agency Buzzman.

Thanks to Istok for posting this to Facebook half an hour ago. ;-)

p.s. After you get redirected to YouTube try cuddles, bakes, pokes, marries, sings with, plays with, pisses with, fights, smokes with, …

p.p.s. Post in comments if you found something else.

Real-time face detection in Flash

Yes, you read it right… here’s some technical details:

  • The underlying library is a AS3 library Marilena
  • it is based on Intel’s OpenCV open-source face detection library
  • more examples are available here

If you have a web cam handy, you can try out the demo as well. For some reason, I haven’t managed to make the demo work with my dumb Logitech webcam. Let me know if works for you.

Here’s a wicked product of academic research that I stumbled upon and I must share.

It’s called ILoveSketch that allows you to do just that - and it is pretty impressive.

Now get a load of this - Interactive Mirror!

Mirror, mirror on the wall…

A guy called Alpay Kasal of LIT Studios has created the Interactive Mirror, using an LCD projector, and you guessed it – a mirror.

The mirror gives a user the ability to draw, interact with animations, play games, view photos, or even show how a custom t-shirt would look if you were wearing it. The device operates via touch technology. It lacks the multi-touch feature if you wondered. What an amazing array of things can happen using such screens. One thing is sure I wouldn’t plan Unreal Tournament on this beauty. ;-)
