An act of evolution witnessed

Praise the Jesus! Here comes another proof of evolution.

It comes from Lake Victoria, the largest tropical lake in the world.

As if you didn’t believe in evolution already, there’s something new to this discovery for the field of evolutionary science. Namely, speciation (the formation of new species) was generally thought to happen when one species is separated in two groups by a physical barrier, allowing each group to develop different traits. This was not necessary for new species of cichlid fishes to develop. “The observations of Lake Victoria’s cichlids provide evidence of an unusual form of evolution known as sympatric speciation, which occurs without the physical separation of a population group.”
