Is Apple being inspired by Braun’s product design from 60s for all Apple products in 90s in the new millenium?

Judge for yourself by looking at these Braun-Apple comparisons. One thing is sure for me - there won’t be anything resembling a pocket calculator coming from Apple.

I truly enjoy the unusual business cards that can be used for a purpose beyond holding some contact information.

Here’s one great business card example from no other than Kevin Mitnick, one of the most famous hackers from the times when breaking into phone company networks was the way that hacking was done (actually cracking would be a more correct term). That illegal activity came to be known as phone phreaking.

The new Google favicon remotely resembles the Windows logo

Google has changed today it’s favicon, again.

Putting it under a looking glass it looks like this, next to the Microsoft Windows logo:

Note the colors are the same. Sure enough, Google uses these four colors in its corporate branding since the beginning. What is curious is that when you rotate the Windows logo 90 degrees clockwise, you get the colors of the Google favicon.

For a good measure, I’m adding another logo using the same colors - the logo of AVG Technologies, a Czech anti-virus software vendor:

The new favicon is a derivate of a Google contest which has drawn a large number of entries. However, designers at Google decided to change one of the entries they liked best.

Am I the only one seeing a resemblance?

Jawbone, the noise eliminating… ahem… noise-canceling Bluetooth headset from company called Aliph.

Not sure if I want/need this one or a simple stereo Bluetooth set that less yuppie.

Anyway, for those interested it is sold at Apple, Jawbone.com, AT&T, Verizon, Best Buy.

Hm.. initially I wanted to embed one of the original demo videos which are of better quality. Since the embedding did not work I settled with this video, Aliph’s attempt at viral marketing.

I’ve been an early adopter of the news item showing Nokia Morph, a concept design for some time in the future.

I dare to say, that majority of these features will be available (perhaps not in a single mobile phone) by 2015.

What do you think?
