Apple App Wall

Today at Apple’s WWDC event in San Francisco, Apple had a bunch of Cinema Display monitors mounted together on a wall showing what looked to be some sort of pulsating canvas. But a closer look revealed that it was actually a huge collection of icons for many of the apps available in the App Store, arranged by color. Apparently, when someone purchased one, that app’s icon would pulsate, creating the effect.

While it wasn’t quite real-time, nor was it entirely representative of all the more than 50,000 apps in the App Store, the visualization was pretty damn cool. Prettier than the Google Holodeck and it gave off less heat. Not surprisingly, onlookers were mesmerized by the pulsating apps.

A wonderful tune from Part Time Heroes (great name BTW)… I heard this one as long time ago (say, in 2006) and it still brings me goose gumps. The wonderful vocals are sung by Jono McCleery who also plays the acoustic guitar.

However, the tune has been released in 2008 on the album “Meanwhile…

This is special Japanese Video meaning it has been released on Japanese release only.

Enjoy!

Jawbone, the noise eliminating… ahem… noise-canceling Bluetooth headset from company called Aliph.

Not sure if I want/need this one or a simple stereo Bluetooth set that less yuppie.

Anyway, for those interested it is sold at Apple, Jawbone.com, AT&T, Verizon, Best Buy.

Hm.. initially I wanted to embed one of the original demo videos which are of better quality. Since the embedding did not work I settled with this video, Aliph’s attempt at viral marketing.

Yes, it is powered by Java.

Check out more videos over at Livescribe.

It’s even not insanely expensive - $150 for 1GB and $200 for 2GB version.
