The Crisis of Credit Visualized is the best explanation of financial crisis of 2007-2009 you’ll find IMHO.
Maximum respect to the author, John Levoff, who crafted this video as a part of his thesis work.
You can see which countries are affected by the financial crisis and to what extent in this SVG image (NOTE: you can zoom the map). SVG stands for Scalable Vector Graphics and it is supported out-of-the-box in all web browsers except for IE.
