For anyone who hasn’t been tuning in online in last two days needs to see this - Project Natal from Microsoft “controller-free gaming and entertainment experience”.
Not only does this new type of game control seem to overthrow Ninendo Wii’s control (Wiimote) with its controller-free motion tracking and control, it has the potential of burying it since it has voice recognition too. Wow!
The disruptive potential of Project Natal is the fact that has even shorter learning curve than Nintendo Wii.
Really, I do not remember there was anything from Microsoft that kept me waiting anxiously. Now this is definitely something that I can’t wait to try out! Truth be told, this innovation didn’t com from Microsoft really, rather from company called 3DV Systems that Microsoft acquired in March 2009. This is yet another example of technical brilliance stemming from Israel.
